It is with deep respect that we remember Ennio Munno, known by many as "the unofficial Mayor of Pearl River," who passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011. Ennio's legacy lives on in the Pearl River community, where he made an indelible mark through his service to others.
A resident of Pearl River since 1960, Ennio was a passionate leader who believed in the power of collective action, striving to bring people together and improve the quality of life. His efforts spanned various political, fraternal, and charitable organizations.
One of Ennio’s most notable contributions was the founding of the Pearl River Park and Activity Committee. This group became the driving force behind one of the community's most cherished events: the Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display at Central Avenue Field. His tireless work behind the scenes helped ensure that this spectacular event became a highlight of the summer, bringing families and friends together to celebrate patriotism.
This website stands as a tribute to Ennio’s memory, celebrating his contributions to our community and his lasting impact. We honor his work, his spirit, and his vision, ensuring that the legacy of the Pearl River Park and Activity Committee—and the joy of the Fourth of July fireworks display—will continue to inspire future generations.
